“What If It Was You” shows a different side of Lana.

Usually the band’s pop-punk skater girl, she trades some of that edge for a softer country-pop sound here without losing the attitude and personality that make her fit Three Chords Deep.

The song is built around a simple what-if: two people connect at the wrong time, life pulls them in different directions, and years later there’s still that question of what might have happened if things had gone differently.

Lana’s voice gives it the right balance of vulnerability and bite. It’s country enough to feel warm and story-driven, pop enough to stay catchy, and still unmistakably the same girl who normally has a guitar turned up way too loud.
